How often you have your granite countertops cleaned depends on your usage. A large or active family that uses the counters heavily may want to think about a yearly maintenance program. However, a countertop that doesn't get much use could go 2-3 years or even longer before granite sealing is recommended. Remember, when professionally cleaned the granite surfaces will also be carefully evaluated for existing damage and a very high-quality sealer will be applied.

You don't want to let this happen to your Granite...!!!
The picture above is an example of what will happen to poorly maintained granite. This area was stained from drainage over time from a cutting board. Had the Granite been Sealed and Maintenance as recommended by most professionals, there is a high chance that this stain would not be there at all.
It is a fact that granite sealing will help prevent possible stains from penetrating the surface and permanently staining your countertops from regular use. Some types of granite require less maintenance and don't need to be sealed as often, while others require maintenance more often.

Either way, the cost of Sealing your Countertops is usually minimal compared to a much more costly issue in the future.
